Before the passage of Obamacare, the Senate Budget Committee estimated “unfunded obligations” to be around $65 trillion. These estimates now drastically changed to $82 trillion dollars. These totals are now added to the government's existing obligations to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. This is seven times the United States annual gross domestic product.

Senator Sessions said this on Thursday, “It’s money we don’t have, but money we’re committed to spend,” “it must be removed from the books.” “It is this kind of long-term, unfunded obligation that has placed this nation’s financial situation at such great risk,” “We don’t have the money. We don’t have another $17 trillion in unfunded liabilities that we can add to our account. We have to reduce the ones that we have.”

President Obama’s OMB director said this in 2009, “To my fellow budget hawks in this room and in the rest of the country, let me be very clear: health care reform is entitlement reform. The path to fiscal responsibility must run directly through health care.”

My view:
If this is not overturned by the Supreme Court, We as the nation we know it, is doomed! Do you agree?

Vanderbilt University’s nondiscrimination policy makes it mandatory to allow everyone access to enrollment and leadership roles in any group on campus. This means that atheists can have leadership roles in Christian organizations and vice-versa. The Vanderbilt Catholic club has announced that they will not comply and will now serve off-campus.

This dispute started after a Christian fraternity expelled a gay member. The school then reviewed and amended their nondiscrimination policy. Since, four religious groups have placed on provisional status for violating the new policy. The school and the religious groups spent the last year trying to work out a compromise.

My view:

Why would an atheist want to join or lead a Christian group or a Christian want to join an atheist group? There is only one answer. To cause turmoil within the group. I am not the smartest person on the planet, but this is obvious. I want to point the fact that this country as of now, is still free. Any private organization should have the right to allow or reject their members as they so choose. It would be wrong to only allow one group on campus. For example, only Christians or only Atheist. Unless, of course the school is a predominantly Christian or Atheist establishment with such founding principles. Everyone already has an option to choose a group that is lined with his or her beliefs. What need is there to mandate that they can infiltrate other groups that do not hold their same beliefs. I cannot believe our leaders in our schools have such a socialist mindset to approve such a policy. Let us face the facts, our schools have become as liberal as they come! If this is not stopped, we will soon become the United Socialist States of America!

NASCAR driver, Blake Koch, attempted to educate fans on the importance of voting in U.S. elections. In an interview with “Fox & Friends”, Brian Kilmeade, Koch explained that the television ad he was supposed to appear in never aired. He says ESPN dropped the ad because of political and religious overtones.

Koch went on to say this, “I didn’t think my faith in Christ would have an impact on whether or not a sponsor could air a commercial or not,” “The one thing I will not do is deny my faith just because a particular sponsor might not like the way I express my faith, which I do on my own time.”

I believe the reason why ESPN does not want to air his TV Ad is because they know NASCAR fans are predominately Republican. Encouraging them to register and get out to vote would hurt President Obama in the election. What do you think?

Let us face it; Christians are under attack everywhere we turn. Every day we hear stories like these. Just imagine if this was done to a Muslim, the outrage would not end and the media would have a “hay day” with it. I am tired of the biased media and the liberal’s constant attack on Christians. The founding fathers are “turning in their graves”.

Americans, not just Christians should be appalled by what is going on in this country. It does not matter if you are a person of faith. America was founded on Christian principles. This was a fact, does not matter if you believe it or not. It is true. Somehow, the liberals have distorted this fact and now it is socially acceptable to treat Christians differently. Why is socially unacceptable to treat Muslims unfairly, but it is ok with Christians? Liberals, just give Christians the same respect that you give the Islamic community and everything will be fine.

A Lexington, Kentucky t-shirt business, Hands on Originals, refused to print shirts for the annual gay pride parade. The company told the parade organizers that it was against their religious beliefs to support this event. In response, the gay rights group filed a sexual discrimination complaint against the company.

The company owner, Blaine Adamson said this, “Hands On Originals both employs and conducts business with people of all genders, races, religions, sexual preference and national origins,” “However, due to the promotional nature of our products, it is the prerogative of the company to refuse any order that would endorse positions that conflicts with the convictions of the ownership.”

Bravo! I applaud the company’s backbone. I foresee problems for the company because they are a private business; not a church. A Christian church would be protected from this; however I do not believe a private business will win in court. This story brings up an interesting question. Should Christian business owners have the right to turn down jobs that go against their religious beliefs or vice-versa? Should an Atheist business owner have the right to do the same to jobs that would support the belief in God?

I believe America is a Free Enterprise. I believe owners should have the right to choose or not choose the business prospects they do or do not enter into. We are walking down a very slippery slope if we allow government control over our decisions.

In the end, I think Hands on Originals will be blessed for their faith they have shown. I believe many more people will respect and support them for their decision than oppose them. The gay rights groups may have the support of the liberal media, but the Christians still have a majority support with the people.

What the “Hell” is wrong with America? Did the rules all of a sudden just change overnight? The last time I checked, any accused person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Heck, this case is even worse, he hasn’t even been accused yet. No one knows what happened and he has been convicted by the media and racial groups. For God’s sake, the New Black Panther party has a bounty on his head. How is this legal? If a white group did this against a black individual or a Christian against a Muslim, just imagine the outcome. The media and the president would be all over it. The president needs to come out and condemn the actions of the media and the Black Panthers. Leader support such as the president and others are stirring the pot and causing civil unrest.

I want to be the first to say. If Zimmerman is guilty, I support the “Death Penalty”. Nevertheless, this is America! Everyone is entitled to a fair trial. We judge people in the courts not in the media. Will it even be possible for this man to receive a fair trial? Just think how hard it will be to find an unbiased jury for this case. Now, think if he is innocent. What if he proves that he did kill Trayvon Martin in self-defense? Will he or his family ever have a normal life again? No, i suspect they will be forced into the witness protection program. Their only choice for closure is to change their identity, because in the eyes of the media and racial groups; they are and always will be guilty.

Now that the constitutionality of Obamacare is under review by the Supreme Court, President Obama all of a sudden has a change of heart on his view of “individual mandate”. This is the mandate that will force Americans to pay a penalty in they do not have health insurance by 2014. During the 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign, Obama slammed Hillary Clinton because of her support of the same mandate. Obama said this, “It forces everyone to buy insurance, even if you can’t afford it, and you pay a penalty if you don’t.”

Obama said this to CBS, “I have come to the conclusion,” “During the campaign I was opposed to this idea because my general attitude was the reason people don’t have health insurance is not because they don’t want it, it’s because they can’t afford it. And if you make it affordable, then they’ll come. I am now in favor of some sort of individual mandate as long as there’s a hardship exemption.”

My opinion, Hillary would of made a much better president. Yes, she is still a liberal and would have hurt the country, but not near as much as this president has. At least she is a liberal with enough experience to know what the “HECK” is going on!

Aborted Babies Used for Food Testing and Medical Research

A Pro-Life group in Minnesota is up in arms over a soon to be a new clinical trial. What are they so upset over? Life Site News reports that the Food and Drug Administration approved using tissues from the brains of aborted fetuses. The trial, done by StemCells, Inc. will use these brain tissues to test the efficacy of human neural stem cells for reversing the effects of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This disease is the leading cause of vision loss and blindness in people 55 or older.

One would expect any Pro-Life group to be opposed to stem cell research of any kind, but there is more to this than just any ordinary research. The type of cell used is HuCNS-SC cells. These cells are described as derived from “fresh human fetal brain tissue.” “Stem Cells Inc. is not using embryonic stem cells. A five-day-old human being at the embryonic stage does not have a brain, but a fetus at 10 or 20 weeks of development with visible fingers, toes and ears has a functioning brain,” said MCCL’s director Scott Fischbach. “Developing human beings in the womb are treated simply as raw material for laboratory experimentation by StemCells Inc. and other companies seeking to monetize aborted unborn children.”

Nothing is new about using tissue from aborted fetuses. The first controversy began in 2000 after 20/20 aired an undercover investigation into the harvesting of fetal tissues. The national Council for State Legislatures states that many states “restrict research on aborted fetuses or embryos, but research is often permitted with the consent of the patient.” Investigate Magazine found that imported fetal tissue from the U.S. are used in other countries in research. Described as “obtained from elective abortions in the United States and was transported here for the experiments.” It is reportedly legal to import these tissues to other countries.

Recent new news is the use of aborted fetal tissues in food research. Yes, you read correctly, food research. ABC reported in January about an Oklahoma bill that would ban “food or any other product intended for human consumption which contains aborted human fetuses in the ingredients or which used aborted human fetuses in the research or development of any of the ingredients.” State Senator Ralph Shorty told KRMG radio this,“There is a potential that there are companies that are using aborted human babies in their research and development of basically enhancing the flavor for Artificial flavors,”
“I don’t know if it is happening in Oklahoma, it may be, it may not be. What I am saying is that if it does happen then we are not going to allow it to manufacture here.” His opposition says that this is a back-door attempt to ban embryonic stem cell research.

PepsiCo was also recently accused of and denied using a company whose flavor products are tested using fetal cells. International Business Times reported that Senomyx produced these flavor chemicals and was exposed by the non-profit group Children of God for Life in 2011 for using human embryonic kidney cells from the line HEK-293 in testing. The cells were supposedly only used in testing and were not present in the final product. Many stakeholders protested the relationship between PepsiCo and Senomyx and asked PepsiCo to “adopt a corporate policy that recognizes human rights and employs ethical standards which do not involve using the remains of aborted human beings in both private and collaborative research and development agreements.” This agreement was ruled against by The Security and Exchange Commission. PepsiCo’s lead attorney, George A. Schieren argued that the shareholder resolution should be disregarded because it “deals with matters related to the company’s ordinary business operations.” “certain tasks are so fundamental to run a company on a day-to-day basis that they could not be subject to stockholder oversight.” Jeff Dahncke, senior director of communications for PepsiCo emailed this to The New American, “to correct the misperceptions and erroneous information” “PepsiCo does not conduct or fund research, including research performed by third parties, which utilizes any human tissue or cell lines derived from embryos or fetuses,” “Any research funded by PepsiCo and conducted by Senomyx for PepsiCo must abide by this responsible research statement,”

The New American founder and director of Children of God for Life, Debi Vinnedge points out Senomyx’s own published research. She shows it does use cells from the HEK-293. She explains that the HEK-293 cells were cultivated from the kidney tissue of the aborted baby and frozen, “From that point, the cell line is made available for sale by several companies, like American Type Cell Culture. The cell line is then shipped to buyers maintaining cold-chain temperature and subsequently either thawed for use or frozen in the buyer’s lab for future use. When it’s thawed, the cells are cultivated to produce more cells.” She said, “morally, it makes no difference whether an abortion was done 30 years ago or today. Time does not diminish the original act of evil, nor does it lessen the culpability of those who knowingly and willingly utilize the remains of aborted children for profit.” The pro-life groups protest the use of cells from aborted fetuses research by StemCells, Inc. or Senomyx. They point out that there is alternatives, such as adult stem cells. Fishbach said, “Unborn babies deserve dignity, not dissection and destruction.”

Government Controls over Home-Brew

Home-brewed beer is quickly becoming popular with many people. More than just drinking it at home, they also enjoy sharing with fellow friends at festivals and entering tasting competitions. This new interest has focused attention on long-forgotten alcohol laws, most of which date back to Prohibition. These laws make it illegal to share alcohol outside the brewer’s home and could “pretty much be the end of competitions in Wisconsin,” “At least legally ones.” one Wisconsin citizen says. Recently, these old laws have been rarely enforced, but beer enthusiasts fear they could criminalize the rapidly growing hobby and make the many annual tasting events that bring tourists to small towns illegal.

The Brewers may have some hope in Wisconsin. The State Legislature passed a bill last week that will allow them to transport homemade beer and wine and share with other adults, but will not be allowed to sell for profit. They will remain exempt from permit requirements and taxes. The bill is expected to be signed into law by Governor Walker.

The American Homebrewers Association in Boulder, CO says there are at least 17 other states that have similar laws against home brewers. These rules can be very frustrating and difficult for brewers to learn and understand. They want to spend more time enjoying their hobby and less worrying about which states have what laws and such.

Dan Grady of the Wisconsin Homebrewers Alliance warns other beer-makers of a danger. He says states may try and use this issue to generate money for the state. “States are under enormous pressure. It’s a revenue issue,’ he said. “Everything is on the table these days.”

The director of the home brewers association, Gary Glass, said it’s a balancing act when considering whether to pursue a change in the law. “The question becomes, at what point does a home brewing community want to take on having the law changed if it’s not really having an impact to what they’re doing?” “In this economy, you’re stifling an industry that’s growing,” he said. “It sounds like a bad move.”

Many people with little or no experience brewing beer are buying kits and making beer on their own. It has turned into a beer culture of people sharing their concoctions with their neighbors and friends in clubs and competitions. Just last year, the home brewers association along with the Beer Judge Certification Program hosted more than 411 beer competitions. Jason Heindel, president of the Beer Barons of Milwaukee Cooperative said, “Back in the day, everybody thought home brewing would just be what your grandfather would do,” The boom of home brewing has increased sales to brewing supply shops all over the country.

Home brewing was illegal until the federal government lifted Prohibition-era restrictions on making alcohol in the home. The revised law leftmost alcohol regulations up to the individual states. Many states still have laws on the books that supersede federal policies. Many home brewers have been caught by surprise with these laws and had to conduct their beer tasting competition privately. Many still live in fear of reprisals from these rules.

I am a freedom-loving person, but it is hard not to understand their feelings on this one. I too, worry about the youth of our country as well. Many negative influences out there such as Lady Gaga is tearing their innocence away. I do not suggest we try to block these influences, I say the morals and values of people must change. Only then will the demand for such be non-existent. It our nation’s morality downfall has allowed personalities such as Lady Gaga to launch to fame. Let us pray for our nation. Is it too late? I hope not!

What if this was Bill O’Reilly that had done this. The media would have a field day with it. I am so tired of the double-standards. Everyone makes mistakes, that is why we forgive each other; but do not act like nothing happened. Tom Hanks needs to answer for this blatant act of racial insensitivity; just like anyone conservative would. We all know this will not happen. It will be played off as some mistake or temporary loss of judgement. Which may be true, I do not believe he is racist. I just want the media to give the right the same benefit of the doubt the next time one of them slips up.
