Christianity and Science

I don't understand this whole notion that Christianity and science are in some kind of disagreement against one another. Many people believe there is a battle of Science vs. religion or somehow one theory explains away the other.

I believe that Christianity and science go hand-in-hand and compliment each other. As Forest Gump would say, "Like peas and carrots!" Afterall, God created the universe and science is the study of the universe through observation and experiment. As a Christian, I am confident that the more we learn about science; the more we will learn about our Almighty Creator and find more evidence that He is real!
You see, science isn't the reason why Christianity and science are at odds against one another. The problem is when Atheist or Agnostic scientist come up with some crazy theory to explain away God in the name of science such as "The Big Bang Theory" or "Darwinism." The problem is there is an ideological barrier that exists with many scientists that blinds them of the truth. These scientists wouldn't see or admit to the truth if it slapped them in the face.
The irony is many scientists label Christians as ignorant blind followers of faith to believe in Creationism by an omnipotent all-knowing God. I say it takes much more faith and one is blinder to believe that something as complex and beautiful as the universe just somehow happened to come into existence by chance. I call that faith of epic proportions!
