God's Plan of Salvation is Simple

plan of salvation

Sometimes, I think many people are overwhelmed with the thought of something as magnificent as Salvation and spending eternity in Heaven. This is especially true for many non-believers or new Christians that do not understand God's very simple plan of salvation.
plan of salvation
In an achievement oriented society such as America and many other countries, obtaining great rewards most of time comes from lots of time put into hard work. Naturally, we automatically assume that the greatest treasure we can ever have, salvation, is something that must be earned. It is so hard to believe that this greatest treasure is a free gift given to us by God because of His great love for us.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

Can you believe it? Salvation is totally 100% free! I don't have to do anything! But I will serve God and have a relationship with Him; not because I have to, but because I love Him for loving me first and giving me the most important gift ever, salvation!

What about you? Have you accepted this free gift from God? Do you know where you will spend eternity?
Or ... Do you believe you don't need God's forgiveness? If this true, you are very much wrong and your eternal soul is at risk. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and without God's free gift of salvation, your soul will be eternally separated from Him.

Romans 3:23-24 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
Romans 5:12 "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all have sinned."
What are the consequences for not accepting God's free gift of salvation? Well, God's Holy Word is very clear about this. Without the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the penalty for sin is death!
plan of salvation
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Hebrews 9:22-28 "Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgement, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people ... "
But, there is great news! We don't have to live with these sins! God gave us a plan of salvation that is very simple. God sacrificed His only Son Jesus Christ because of His love for us! Jesus, the only sinless man to walk the face of the earth, willingly sacrificed His precious blood for you! His blood is the only way to cleanse yourself of all of your sins.
plan of salvation
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
All you have to do is accept this free gift from God! There are 3 easy simple steps to God's free plan of salvation.
First, you must believe that Jesus Christ came to earth and took on the form of man as flesh and blood. You must believe that Jesus died on the Old Rugged Cross at Cavalry, defeated death, and rose from the dead on the third day. You must believe that a living Jesus ascended to Heaven and rules at the right-hand of God on the throne of Heaven.
plan of salvation
Matthew 26:64 “You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Next, you must confess and repent of your sins. Now that you know you are a sinner. You must admit to God you are a sinner and need forgiveness. This may very well be the hardest part for many people because so often pride gets in the way. God has made a promise to us to forgive us of all sin if we are truly sorry and want to change.
plan of salvation
Romans 10:9-10&13 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ... "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Acts 3:19 "Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,"
The Last step to salvation is to do your best to walk in the footsteps of Jesus! Jesus set the perfect example for Christians to follow. Because you love and admire Jesus, you want to emulate His life as much as you possibly can and obey his commandments. Walking with Jesus is a daily event. Yes, there will be times that you will trip and fall, but Jesus will always be there to give you a hand and help you up when you need it most. God promised that there will be no obstacle to big for you to overcome!
1 Peter 2:21 "To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps."
1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
If you are sorry for your sins and you want to make your soul right with the Lord, just pray to God a simple "Salvation Prayer." There is no special words that you must say, but below is an example that you can use if you want to.
plan of salvation
Now that you are a Christian, there is only one more thing Jesus askes from you. Walking in the footsteps of Jesus will come naturally because of your love for Him. But, He has one Great Commission for you! Jesus wants us to share His love to others that do not yet know Him. Every Christian is commanded to use their God-given gifts to spread the message of salvation to everyone! When this is done, Jesus will return and take us with Him to our eternal home in Heaven.
plan of salvation
Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"
Romans 12:6-8 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
