Who is Jesus?

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 NIV)

I once read that Abraham Lincoln, one of America's greatest presidents, described as being like everyone else, but a little taller. When I think of who is Jesus, I think He was somewhat the same. He was little taller, but not in the sense that He was taller in height. Jesus was taller in everything else. He had more love, compassion, forgiveness, faith, mercy, strength and courage than anyone else. Compared to everyone else, who is Jesus?

To artists, He is the One altogether lovely.
To architects, He is the Chief Cornerstone.
To physicians, He is the Great Physician.
To preachers, He is the Word of God.
To philosophers, He is the Wisdom of God.
To the dying, He is the Resurrection and the Life.
To geologist, He is the Rock of ages.
To farmers, He is the Lord of the harvest.
To professors, He is the Master Teacher.
To prodigals, he is the forgiving Father.
To the lost sheep, He is the Good Shepard.
To thirsty souls, He is the Water of Life.
To the hungry, He is the Bread of Life.
To philanthropists, He is God's Unspeakable Gift. (Gabhart)

 

The most important question is this; who is Jesus to you? I hope that your answer is something like "my Lord and Savior!" If not, please accept the free gift of eternal life that Jesus gave you today. The biggest mistake you can ever make would be to wait until it is too late.

He Healed Them All

One of the great titles given to our Lord Jesus Christ is the "Great Physician." Christians coined Jesus this nickname for a very good reason. Because the book of Matthew teaches us:

Matthew 12:15 "Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all."

 

If one is not careful, she or he will miss the magnitude of what this scripture is telling us in this great scripture. Notice that Matthew does not write "He healed some" or "He healed many", but,
"He healed them all!"

 

Now, one must also remember Jesus lived during a time before modern medicine and the amount of pain and suffering from disease and sickness was much more than anything we can see today. These were the days of rampant leprosy, blindness, and untreated mental illness. One could only imagine the mass numbers of people who flocked to Jesus for healing from the "Great Physician" when they heard He was near. What Jesus saw must have been overwhelming. Everything from the helpless blind to the those infected with gruesome festering sores from leprosy, Jesus must have witnessed it all. And,
"He healed them all!"

 

We are so set on remembering the few stories we read from the Bible about Jesus' healing, but I believe His healings were in the thousands or tens of thousands. Jesus did not let one single sick or infected person pass Him by without healing. I believe what Matthew teaches us when he wrote,
"He healed them all!"
I also believe that Jesus has the same power today. He still has the power to,
"Heal them all!"
All we must do is believe! Jesus will and can heal you and your loved ones according to God's will.
Jesus is still the "Great Physician!"
