The church I attend recently went through a revival. On the second night of the revival I came to a revelation. There is only one hymn that I want played at my funeral! That hymn is “Victory in Jesus”, written by Eugene Monroe Bartlett in 1939. My wife and children can choose other favorites that they want, but this one is mine.

Why? I have heard and sang this hymn hundreds of times and every time it never fails to move my Spirit like none other. I have read and prayed over the words of this song and I challenge anyone to find words that better speak to the soul about the love of Jesus Christ and the free gift of Salvation He gave to us. No other lyrics describes how I feel about Jesus more than this one!

If you want to be blessed, take a couple of minutes and slowly read over the words of this hymn. Let God speak to your heart like He did with me!

Victory in Jesus

I heard an old, old story,

How a Savior came from glory,

How He gave His life on Calvary

To save a wretch like me;

I heard about His groaning,

Of His precious blood’s atoning,

Then I repented of my sins

And won the victory.

Every time I read or sing this hymn, tears come to my eyes! How dare I ever forget what Jesus had done for me! If these words don’t move you, please take a moment and pray for the Holy Spirit to soften your harden heart.

Anyone that feels nothing from these powerful words means only one thing. Your heart has been snared by the Great Deceiver, Father of All Lies, the Evil One, Liar from the Beginning, the Destroyer, the Devourer, Enemy of Righteousness, Fallen Angel, Demon, Beelzebub, or more commonly known as Satan and the Devil!

There is only one cure from his eternal grasp on your soul! Only with “Victory in Jesus” can you be free!

Tim Tebow Draws Huge Crowd on Easter

A football player named Tim Tebow,
“Tebowing”, to let his faith show,
A great role model for our youth,
Because he tells them the truth,
Jesus Christ is the Savior, we should all know!

Tim Tebow draws huge crowd on Easter Sunday!

A crowd of about 15,000 came to see and hear Tim Tebow on Easter Sunday. He visited the Celebration Church in an outdoor setting about 20 miles north of Austin, Texas; the church pastor said this, “In Christianity, it’s the Pope and Tebow right now,” “We didn’t have enough room to handle the Pope.”

Many people drove hundreds of miles to hear Tebow speak. More than a hundred school buses shuttled people from nearby churches, shopping centers, and colleges. The service featured upbeat Christian songs and had an energizing appeal.
 
Here are some highlights from Tebow’s 20 minute interview with the church pastor, Joe Champion, “It’s OK to be outspoken about your faith,” He commented on how some athletes do not believe they are role models. “Yes you are. You’re just not a good one,”

Champion asked what he thought needed to change culture in America. Tebow said, “First and foremost is what this country was based on: one nation under God. The more that we can get back to that,”

Texas Atheist Coverts to Christian

There once was an Atheist named Patrick Greene,
He threatened to sue Athens over a nativity scene,
He suddenly became ill,
And the same Christians helped him heal,
His conversion to Christianity, was so unforeseen!

I can not get enough of these kind of stories. This story shows how Christian love and the Holy Spirit can work inside anyone’s soul. Patrick Greene was an Atheist Activist for many years and just recently threatened to sue over a nativity scene in Athens, Texas. Shortly after, he became ill and the same Christians he threatened to sue raised funds for him and his wife. The kind gesture caused him to rethink his stance on faith and has announced that he is now a Christian!

Mr. Greene said this, “There’s been one lingering thought is the back of my head my entire life, and it’s one thought that I’ve never been able to reconcile, and that is the vast difference between all the animals and us,” He said that the theory of evolution did not answer his questions. He now believes those answers lie with God and his belief in Jesus, the Son of God. He said this, “I kind of realized that the questions I was asking you just had to accept on faith without doubting every period and every comma,”

More surprisingly, Mr. Greene has plans to enter the ministry. He wants to join a liberal congregation and start his own chapter of the Rainbow Baptists. He hopes his conversion will inspire more people to read the Bible.

Mr. Greene no longer opposes the nativity scene and even purchased a star for the scene.

Without a doubt, I believe the Christians involved here were lead by the Holy Spirit to help in the way they did. Their faithfulness allowed God to work through them and ultimately brought another lost soul to the Kingdom of Heaven.

I love this story, a true inspiration! This man came to America with the intentions to attack from within. I would like to meet the Christian that God worked through to bring him to the Lord. A powerful testimony and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. Cannot get enough stories like this one!
