"Liberal Christian" is the Ultimate Oxymoron

First of all, I must be completely honest and admit that I tend to be a little impartial when it comes to this subject, but I am going to try to keep my mind open and not be narrow-minded. Some might say that keeping my mind open is the first step to liberalism and they might be correct; but rest assured, there is no danger of me slipping over to the “dark side” of the political spectrum. 

I am a conservative christian and very proud of it. In fact, to be completely honest, I do not believe there is a such thing as a liberal christian. I consider this two-word combination to be the ultimate oxymoron. For me, the implications of “liberal christian” far overshadows any other oxymoron such as “dark light” or “living dead” because of the eternal repercussions and possibility of losing one’s soul. 

I know this is bold statement, but anyone whom interprets the Bible anywhere close to what it says should easily agree that killing helpless babies and a lack of social-economic responsibility are two core liberal beliefs that go directly against the Bible’s teachings. How can a christian go to church one day and pray for healing, then the next day condone ramming a sharp instrument into the brain of a partially born baby? The same goes for going to church one day and saying “Amen!” when the preacher preaches the principles of responsibility, taking care of and loving your children and others, paying your bills and building up treasures in Heaven and not on earth; then the next day disregard and support politicians that continue to spend away our children’s and grandchildren’s future and refuse to pass a budget and do what is best (christian) for all Americans. Just think of how many other core liberal beliefs go against God’s Holy Word. Same-sex marriage is another big one that just pops out there. How many more can you think of?

What in blazes is the world coming to? Did you know there is a hot national debate on transgender bathroom rights? There is growing support that America’s laws are not fair to those that believe they are a different gender than what is on their birth certificate. Liberal attorneys and lawyers are pushing legislature that changes the current laws on the books to allow transgender people to choose which bathroom to use.

I am sure there are transgender people out there that do feel as if they are discriminated against and many may be uncomfortable using the bathroom with the same-sex as listed on their birth certificate, but I have news for them.

I too, sometimes feel uncomfortable about using a public bathroom because I know that gay men can legally walk right in and stalk whomever they want. Maybe other men can relate with me on this; I know I am not the first guy that knew some gay guy was in the bathroom checking him out. One may ask, “How do you know he is gay?” and I would admit is hard to prove. But, sometimes the way someone dresses and talks is enough to make you 99% sure. All that matters is we know it happens, but we learn to live with it.

I submit that the proposal to allow transgender people into the bathroom of their choosing is completely fair as long as I get a bathroom that is for “straight” people only! Of course, this would have to apply to both males and females. Then, we would need bathrooms for those that are “gay” only because there may be some that feel uncomfortable being in a bathroom with straight people. While we are at it, how about bathrooms just for the transgender and other bathrooms only for transgender and gays. Of course, all these ideas are ridiculous because all of them are unenforceable.

In a complicated society such as ours, we all know that we will never make everyone happy. The only course of action is the best one, the one that makes the most sense for the majority of the people. Most Americans are straight people and transgender people make up a very small percentage of our population. So, why in the world are we going to allow such a small percentage of people the legal authority to “peep” and make good God-fearing people such as myself very uncomfortable in public bathrooms? 

Even as a liberal woman, you can’t tell me you would not think it would be a little creepy if someone who is clearly a guy that thinks he is a girl walks into the bathroom and starts talking to you while you are relieving yourself. You may not even have to see him to know because the baritone in his voice is unlike any other woman you have heard before and suggest that he could only be a man. Heck, some woman I know would immediately scream and run out of the bathroom. Some others would probably kick him in the groin and hit him over the head with their purse and call him a “pervert!” Personally, I think he deserves the latter.

Arrogance is an understatement

Anyone that has anything to do with this should be ashamed! It does not matter if one created it or supports it. It is a disgrace! The one that should be most ashamed is President Obama, for allowing it to happen.

God's Holy Word says, "I, the LORD, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the mighty." Isaiah 13:11 NLT

Of course there is arrogance on all sides of the political spectrum, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, etc. etc. etc.

But, the Democratic party just seems to reek of it! No one likes to admit they are wrong or made a mistake, but the Liberals never do. Everything is always someone else's fault. Just think about it, Obama has been President for almost 4 years now and they are still blaming Bush for the dismal economy and high unemployment. When will the Democrats finally take ownership of our nation's terrible situation?

The Bible describes Liberals this way, "Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people." Romans 16:18 NLT

Most of the people who support Democrats are not evil people. Most are very good people, but they are deceived and ignorant of the truth behind the Liberal agenda. They believe Democrats are fighting for them, when the truth is they are fighting against them, fighting for their own personal political interests.  Of course, one may argue that Republicans do the same thing and I would tell you, "Yes, you are right, but at least Republicans do not dream and plot to change our great Capitalist Republic into a Socialist Marxist Utopia."

Most Democrat supporters do not understand this part. They are ignorant to the true Liberal agenda and the ones that are not ignorant, either do not want to or refuse to accept the truth. Take a close look at the liberal platform and just try to stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself it is not true. Everything from Social to Economic Justice to spreading the wealth to forcing government dependence onto the people, every major liberal agenda falls directly in line with Carl Marx's theories.

If you are middle to upper class, you are the bourgeoisie "in the eyes" of the liberals.

President Obama has given a stern warning to the Supreme Court to not overturn his landmark health care plan. He says such a decision would be “unprecedented” and “judicial activism” by “unelected judges”.

“Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.”

“ And I’d just remind conservative commentators that, for years, what we have heard is, the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism, or a lack of judicial restraint, that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law,”

“Well, this is a good example, and I’m pretty confident that this court will recognize that and not take that step,” he said.

It is obvious that Obama is either using his influence as President of the United States to try and sway the Supreme Court’s decision or there is a leak within the highest court of the land and the President knows something that we do not.

Another possibility is the President is priming his base and is setting up a situation where he makes out the Republicans and the Supreme Court as the the bad guys and uses this in the upcoming election. What are your thoughts?
